Hazardous Task - Risk Method of Control
Balloon Gas Cylinder in Transit All balloon gas cylinders are secured whilst
being transported. The cylinders are stored
in a well ventilated vehicle with the tap 'off'.
Cylinders are never transported with the
filling kit attached.
Helium Balloon Gas - Helium is an inert gas. The cylinders are filled
High Pressure to high prssure - 200 bar.
BOC Filling Kit regulators are used to control
& reduce the pressure whilst inflating balloons
Delivering gas cylinder. All helium balloon gas cylinders are transported
on trolleys from vehicle to Restaurant.
The cylinders are chained to the trolley.
Cylinders are stored behind a metal bar in the
'bin cupboard' at Red Peppers.
Site Control
Inspection of Equipment All inflation equipment &
helium cylinders will be tested before delivery.


Customer Awareness The customer will be made aware of all
potential dangers throughout the contract.
